Kerns Commons is mixed-use, five story development on a small site in northeast Portland. This urban infill project consists of nine condominiums on three floors over ground floor retail and parking. The design is a "slot" building, constructed of concrete, steel and wood, the frame exposed on the exterior expresses the buildings structure, gives a sense of discipline and symbolizes the order found within an urban location.
